This week on Future Monkeys we join Skari, Vos and Jen in discussing Dragon Age: Inquisition, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Fallout, Pokemon Shuffle, Armello and Mario Maker.

Jen takes us back to the late 80s to talk about her past game, The Adventures of Lolo, and shares some sweet memories about her grandparents playing it with her. Skari and Vos go into the Future with Among the Sleep, a PC horror game from the eyes of a toddler, and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water.

Please give us a positive review on iTunes to enter into our random drawing, which ends 9/30! The prize will be the winners choice of either a  Steam code for Terraria, OR a choice of $10 gift credit to either WiiU, PS4, or XBONE.

Weekly Update

This week Skari discusses a show streaming on Netflix that Klaitu can’t get enough of, which she mistakenly called Point of Interest, but it is actually titled Person of Interest…She also refers to Cheetara of the Thundercats as Tigra later in the show, so, ya know…saying words correctly is what Skari does best. In other news, Skari and Klaitu’s Anniversary is coming up, yay! She’s feeling, however, a little inadequate in the gift giving department, and sends out a plea across the FM Galaxy for people to call in and give her advice about her gift giving plight.

Adventures of LoloVos discusses the wonders of Arkansas and homophobic remarks from his former employers. Things got a little hairy there during the eight months he had to work that second job. However, for the most part, everyone seems nice and leaves him be, so hooray for that!

After some probing, Jen tells us about the mysterious way she became involved in the Pinball League, and the weird synchronicity that made it happen. It was a pretty interesting little story, actually. She’s also gone back to delving into the deep, dark world of YouTube makeup tutorial videos. We should all be expecting many eye makeup selfies in our near future.

At some point during the show, both Skari and Jen get “squeally” about a certain book series they discover they both love. If you’re curious what that was, and couldn’t make it out during the excited chatter that Vos groaned through, they were referring to Terry Goodkind’s The Sword of Truth series. Of course, you know if Skari loves it, that series goes way dark and grim.
