Episode 25

Games we’re talking about this week

Today on Future Monkeys Episode 25, it’s just Los and Skari while Jen packs up to move into her brand new apartment! They hold down the fort and talk about Unravel, Disney Infinity 3.0, Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC, as well as touching briefly on Firewatch.

Los decided to take us into the Future with his game, Lego Marvel Avengers, and Skari waffles between either Fran Bow or the newest episode of King’s Quest.

Weekly Update

This week, Los may be one step closer to selling his house as a home investor bids heavy and a hard for their house, only $10,000 under their asking price. Maybe Jen won’t be the only one moving in the near future? In the meantime, he took some time out to visit the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, NC with his family and had a fun outing.

NC Museum of Natural SciencesThere was some back and forth discussion about the Catholic/Christian observance of Lent, as they recorded on Ash Wednesday. Los will be off of social media again for the 40 days of Lent, but have no fear, he’ll still be around the forums and the Hangouts!

Skari’s finally gotten some new glasses after 7 years of being in the same prescription. She was relieved, once she finally dragged herself into the eye doctor, to discover in those years between visits she hasn’t developed some blinding ailment. However, she’s not so thrilled about the fact that her lenses are nearly an inch thick now. The phrase “blind as a bat” comes to mind. While not worrying about her deteriorating eyesight, she’s been engrossed with reading The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists by Neil Strauss after listening to a fascinating interview with the author on Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast. It’s been a real page turner so far. Lastly, Klaitu and Skari have tentatively dipped their toes into the house hunting market. There’s been no real development yet, but surely there will be more to come about that as it happens.
