Games we’re talking about this week
Skari takes the Monkeys back into the past, way back to 1997, when apparently all three of them started high school. In honor of Fallout 4 coming out next week, she talks about Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game, the first in the series! Of course when they go to the Future, Fallout 4 is on their plates, along with Dragon Fin Soup and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China.
Los isn’t having any luck with Halloween. It kind of Hallo-sucks. Parents are too lazy to get out of the car and walk around with their kids, people are being creepers with a new app that allows you to find the neighborhoods that have the “best candy”, and less people seemed to put any effort into it. Future Monkeys, we can’t let this stand. Keep the spirit of Halloween alive in your own neighborhoods! Otherwise, he’s getting back to food blogging, so go ahead and hit him up at his blog, The Man, The Chef, The Dad. Let his pumpkin doughnuts inspire your heart and mind.
Skari’s week had some ups, some downs, and only several threats of violence. She experiences the complete soul sucking exhaustion of shopping at a Sam’s Club for the first time. Klaitu and Skari barely make it out of Sam’s alive without being ran down by the massive hordes of old, angry bargain shoppers. Not to mention, there were a few mishaps with actually getting the membership itself. Needless to say, tears were shed at the nearby IHOP as she licked her wounds. There’s also been new changes at work, and other random things happening that just mess with the flow of her days. You just can’t mess with Skari’s ch’i, okay?
Jen, on the other hand, has had an awesome week. An employee appreciation week at her work ended with an awesome 80s themed day at work, including a live performance by The Reaganomics, “the midwest’s most exciting 80’s dance and party band”. She also treated herself to a acupuncture treatment, which is apparently the most awesome thing ever, and educated Los and Skari on its benefits. Skari probably needs to get an appointment for that sooner rather than later.
